• 9th and 10th Grade College Night for Parents

Posted by Diana Vang on 2/8/2018 5:20:00 AM

On Wednesday, February 7th, the Counseling Department hosted a college night for parents of 9th and 10th-grade students. This event was geared towards discussing high school expectations, the high school graduation process, and getting into college. Superintendent Christianna Hang and Chief Operating Officer Mr. Yang also joined to talk with families and discuss individual student transcripts.

"Students and parents worked together in learning more about Schoology and what their students' current cumulative GPA and rank were, and how these two things make a difference in the college application process as well as scholarship opportunities," said Ms. O'Daniel. For students and families that missed this event, please contact the Counseling office to get a copy of the PowerPoint.

Ms. Mercil's class raised the most money out of all K-12 CP classrooms!

In the early weeks of January, grade-level CP winners voted and chose to donate all funds to the nonprofit organization World Central Kitchen! World Central Kitchen has developed into a group of chefs creating smart solutions to hunger and poverty. As teams work to restore power to over a million citizens in Puerto Rico, these chefs continue to go door to door with hot and nutritious meals so families don’t have to worry about food. To date, over 3 million meals have been served in over 70 locations across Puerto Rico! Thank you, World Central Kitchen for the amazing work you continue to do!
