Greetings Warrior Parents and Warrior Teachers,

My name is Steve Coleman and I am currently serving as your dedicated blogger for the HCPA Parent Teacher Organization (PTO.) Thank you for your interest in our work! We are so excited to be starting off the year with a reinvigorated focus on bringing our parents and teachers together in support of our amazing students.

For those of you who are just finding us now: welcome! The HCPA PTO functions based on two parallel ideas of our mission and vision statements. 

• Mission Statement: We are the voices bridging the gap between parents, students, educators, and the community.

• Vision Statement: HCPA PTO builds a strong foundation of leadership, opportunity, and growth. 

We started off the school year with volunteering at the HCPA Parking Lot over the State Fair and made some big financial contributions to the PTO Treasury. We hope to use this money and the rest of our funds to help, celebrate, and grow the amazing opportunities our school offers to our students and their families. 

We’ve already committed to helping our HCPA Field Day become a huge success for our Middle School and High School students in October, and that’s not all! A Back To School Supplies Drive is currently underway with the assistance of Lyngblomstem Church to help our students get the supplies they need in order to succeed. Finally, the PTO will be hosting an Internet Safety Discussion and Seminar on October 5th from 6-8 PM. We’re also continuing to explore building programs, activities, and opportunities with our staff and interested parents. Discussions are currently happening about possibilities of a Survival Techniques Group, a Scouts Organization, and a Theatre Club. We’re always looking for new ideas for how we can help our school flourish!

 If this sort of communication and organization sounds intriguing to you, please come join us for a meeting! We typically meet the first Thursday of every month in the Middle Cafeteria. If you’d like to get more information, you can contact any of our officers listed on the home page and we try to have a table up at every school event we can. We hope to meet you and hear more from our amazing community.
