Hmong College Prep Academy COVID-19 Distance Learning Plan
Updated May 5, 2020
At HCPA, the health and safety of our students and staff members is always a priority. Earlier this month, HCPA sent home several documents detailing the proactive and preventative actions HCPA were taking as a school in response to COVID-19, commonly known as the Coronavirus. It also included guidelines HCPA asked for all families to follow in order to ensure the health of each student and the community as a whole. During this time, HCPA also wants to safeguard the academic success of each student and take measures to ensure that students have access to learning no matter the situation.
Since the announcement from Governor Walz on Sunday, March 15th, our schools have been closed to allow for planning and preparation of distance learning materials. Subsequent executive orders and guidelines from Governor Tim Walz, the Minnesota Department of Health, and the Minnesota Department of Education have led to the creation of this document. Below is information detailing and summarizing the logistics of Hmong College Prep Academy’s Distance Learning Plan for kindergarten through 12th grade.
HCPA’s Distance Learning Plan is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 6, 2020following HCPA’s scheduled Spring Break from March 30th - April 2, 2020.
This means that HCPA will remain in distance learning through our final day of school on Thursday,
June 4th, 2020.
As distance learning continues, these plans will be monitored and are subject to change and modification.
Additional information from the Minnesota Department of Health on COVID-19 can be found online in English and Hmong.
