HCPA Technology Protection Agreement
Protection plan is offered for students in grades 6 – 12

CHROMEBOOK insurance fee of $45.00 per family of 3 or more for the 2026-20267 academic term (applicable per one incident, additional insurance may be purchased after completion of payment). Insurance does not cover the event of a CHROMEBOOK being stolen or lost; you will be responsible to pay the full cost ($284) to HCPA. My decision to pay the insurance premium is voluntary.

Insurance does not cover the event of a CHROMEBOOK being stolen or lost; you will be responsible for paying the full cost ($284) to HCPA.

Summary of Contract:
- The Chromebook and all accompanying equipment remain the property of Hmong College Prep Academy (HCPA).
- Students must bring their Chromebook to school every day.
- The Chromebook is to be used solely for academic purposes; non-academic use is not permitted.
- Parent/guardian has the option to purchase a protection plan to cover replacement costs in the event the Chromebook is damaged.
- Parent/guardian is financially responsible for any HCPA-issued equipment or accessories that are lost, stolen, or damaged, including intentional damage by the student.
- If the student intentionally damages the Chromebook, the parent/guardian is responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement.
- Misuse of the device or failure to follow HCPA’s technology rules and policies may result in loss of Chromebook privileges.
- If the student withdraws or transfers from HCPA during the 2026–2027 school year, the Chromebook and all accompanying equipment must be returned immediately to the Technology Department. Failure to return the device will result in a charge of $284 for the Chromebook and $25 for accessories. The Chromebook device will be wiped clean and unusable.
- All Chromebooks and accessories must be returned to HCPA at the end of the school year. Failure to do so will result in charges for missing technology.
