Hmong College Prep Academy Announces Major Campus Expansion
Project Marks Third Major Expansion Since 2006
St. Paul, MN—Administrators at Hmong College Prep Academy, a St. Paul-based charter school that provides Twin City students with a challenging college prep curriculum, recently announced plans to expand their current campus.
Slated for a spring ground breaking, the project will mark the school’s third major expansion since opening its doors in 2004. In 2006, HCPA moved from Minneapolis to its current facility on Brewster Street, near the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. In 2012, the school doubled its size by adding a new three-story building, gymnasium, library and 500-seat theater. The upcoming expansion will include a new elementary school, playground and expanded green space.
“This is an exciting time for HCPA students, families and stakeholders,” stated Superintendent Dr. Christianna Hang. “Since day one, our vision has been to create a state of the art school that serves the needs of our students. This project marks another step towards achieving this vision…and we couldn’t be happier.”
Upon completion, HCPA’s campus will be able to host 2,200 K-12 students. The school is currently accepting applications for the 2017-18 school year.
Hmong College Prep Academy is located at 1515 Brewster Street in St. Paul, just southeast of the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. For more information about the school or to take a tour, interested parties can call 651-209-8002 or online at www.hcpak12.org.
